Public sector procurement teams need suppliers that can work within the requirements of the framework and contract they use. Our employee-owned structure sits separately from that process. Our framework positions provide eligible organisations with established routes to procure relevant workplace products and services, while employee ownership influences how we think about independence, shared responsibility and the long-term future of our company.
That distinction matters. Becoming employee-owned did not create our framework status, and it does not guarantee a particular procurement or service outcome. As an HM Gov Supplier, we still need to meet the requirements attached to each agreement, respond to the buyer’s specification and deliver against the contract the buyer awards.
As an HM Gov Supplier, we hold places on several public sector frameworks. Our current framework listings include routes for office furniture, office supplies including PPE, and Tail End Management. The exact coverage varies by framework, so public sector buyers need to check that their organisation and requirement fall within the relevant scope.
A framework sets out common requirements, approved suppliers and standardised contract terms. For an eligible public sector organisation, this can provide an established route to market when the required products or services fall within the framework scope. It can also give procurement teams a defined process for approaching suppliers that have already secured a place on the relevant agreement.
Our role as an HM Gov Supplier means we can support eligible organisations through the framework routes on which we are approved. This may include requirements for workplace products, PPE, furniture or procurement support, depending on the agreement being used. Buyers should still check the individual framework specification because our full range of services is not automatically covered by every agreement.
Procurement teams also need to confirm the terms that apply to their organisation and requirement. That means identifying the appropriate framework, understanding the purchasing process and making sure the specification fits the available scope. Our team can explain where our framework positions may apply and provide relevant information about our products and services, while the buyer retains responsibility for its own procurement process and controls.
Our company operates through an Employee Ownership Trust. Our Employee Ownership Trust holds the company on behalf of our employees, and our own material focuses on independence, long-term stability and shared responsibility.
Those principles provide useful context for the way we work with customers. Our ownership structure gives our team a direct interest in the future of the company and supports a longer-term view of customer relationships. It does not remove the need for agreed service standards, clear responsibilities or performance management.
For public sector organisations, that distinction keeps the relationship straightforward. The framework and contract define the formal procurement arrangement. Our employee-owned structure influences the culture and long-term outlook we bring to that relationship.
If you are planning a public sector purchase, speak to our team before deciding which route best fits the requirement. We can explain the framework positions relevant to our products and services and discuss what sits within the available scope.
This can give procurement, commercial and operational teams a clearer starting point. Your organisation can then assess the framework against its specification, budget and internal approval process before moving ahead.
Our framework positions cover several areas of workplace purchasing. Selected routes give eligible organisations access to office supplies and workplace products. Our office products service includes flexible ordering and real-time reporting, which can help teams maintain clearer oversight of regular purchasing and account activity.
Selected office supplies framework routes also include workwear and PPE. Our range covers items such as high-visibility clothing, safety footwear, gloves, helmets and respiratory protection. This can help facilities and operations teams source relevant protective equipment through an approved route when the framework covers their requirement.
Office furniture has separate framework coverage. We support requirements from individual workstations through to larger workplace projects, with planning, CAD design and installation support available as part of the service. This gives buyers a practical way to consider furniture specification alongside how the space needs to function.
We also provide Tail End Management through the Countess of Chester Hospital framework. The service focuses on fragmented purchasing and supplier management, with spend analysis, sourcing, monitoring and reporting forming part of the process.
Our wider services include document management, design and print, waste management and digital services. Buyers should not assume that every service is available through every framework. We confirm the relevant scope first so the procurement route remains clear.
Using an approved framework can make the route to market clearer, but public sector teams still need to manage procurement carefully. Buyers need to confirm that the requirement falls within scope, follow the process set by the framework and maintain the records their organisation requires.
The same applies after award. Contract management still depends on clear responsibilities, accurate information and regular review. Our team can support the operational side by working to the agreed ordering, delivery and account arrangements, while the contracting authority retains responsibility for its procurement decisions and governance.
This separation is important for the accuracy of our position. Employee ownership does not make a contract compliant, and framework status does not guarantee a specific service result. Good outcomes depend on the requirement, the chosen procurement route, the agreed contract and how both sides manage it.
Many workplace requirements continue after the first purchase. Teams may need repeat office products, replacement PPE or furniture as spaces and staffing needs change. Procurement teams may also need to review smaller suppliers and fragmented spend as budgets develop.
Looking at those requirements together can make future purchasing easier to plan. It can help teams identify which framework routes remain relevant, where teams need a separate sourcing route and which recurring requirements would benefit from clearer oversight.
Our employee-owned structure supports the long-term perspective we bring to these conversations. We want our company to remain independent and sustainable over time, while customers retain clear control over their own procurement decisions.
If you are reviewing workplace procurement, contact our team to discuss the products or services you need. We can explain the framework positions that may apply, clarify the relevant service scope and help you identify a practical next step.
As an HM Gov Supplier on a range of approved frameworks, we can support eligible public sector organisations with office supplies, PPE, office furniture and relevant workplace procurement services where the framework scope applies. Our employee-owned structure shapes the long-term business context behind the way we work, while the relevant framework and contract define the procurement route.
